Mist and fog are synonymous with San Francisco, and each of these 12 paintings is the result of a collaborative process between the artist and the elements of nature. Characterized by countless applications of watercolor and ink, and intermittent exposure to weather over a period of 14 days, they are meticulous observations and reverent reflections on the spirit of place. Working site-specifically, they are created by way of embodied remembering, recalling the layered histories which linger within the atmosphere of a given place.
